ROSE GOLD SPARKLE

Hi Guys,

It's been so long since I've done a blog post I know. I wanted to wait until I had the time to create a really cute makeup look and show you what products I've been using and loving recently.

This look is a gorgeous rose gold, shimmery eye focussed look which I absolutely love! It's perfect for winter and summer and I'd probably wear it out for a dinner, date or night out! But you could do whatever you wanted with it!

Winter Fashion Essentials!

Hello Lovelies!

I haven't been able to post lately unfortunately due to my increasing stack of assessments that has recently taken over my entire life! Ugh! But I thought I would share with you all my Winter Must-Haves/Wishlist as I have just become so inspired recently with the Christmas season coming up, every girl should own some of these cute warm-fuzzies for the festive season!

1. First thing's first! Everyone should have a fur gilet/vest - it's one of my favourite winter staples and can dress up any casual outfit and also keeps us warm and snuggly throughout the day!

Zara, £59.99

This Zara Gilet is perfection! Pair one with black or white skinny jeans, a long sleeve jumper and some cute ankle boots for the ideal simple, classy look!

2. I'm all about comfy, embellished jerseys in winter! They're a great way to keep warm and still have a bit of festiveness about you!
Topshop, £46

3. One of my favourite things about Winter is warm wooly scarves! They can make or break a really cute outfit! I recently bought this beautiful almost blanket-like scarf from Zara for £20! I just couldn't pass up that amazing price for the actual quality of this scarf!

Like I said this baby is amazing! I love the colour and the red stripe is a great pop of colour! An added bonus is when your travelling or even just chilling on the sofa you can use it as a blanket because it's so big! Love!

4. Lastly, it's definitely important to have the right footwear in the winter time, keeping your feet warm and dry is so necessary. That doesn't mean we're limited to wearing ugly clompy boots that make us look frumpy! A leather ankle boot is my idea of the ideal winter shoe, with a heel because I love the extra height!
River Island, £65

I cannot finish this post without mentioning my ultimate wish list item!
These boots are being seen everywhere and I cannot contain my excitement about them! They're so perfect for the winter and for the upcoming christmas festivities and would go perfectly with a casual jeans and a t-shirt outfit as well as a sexy christmas dress! The Highland, Stretch Over Knee Boots by Stuart Weitzman are to die for!
Russel & Bromley, £595

Although the former, cheaper option may be more within my student financial situation!!

Lot's of love to my beautiful readers!!

Birthday Weekend in Amsterdam!

Dido(left), Nick and I(right).

This weekend was one of the best ones I've had since moving away from home... mainly because I got to see my gorgeous parents in what seems like years when its only been about 7 weeks!
They moved to the heart of Amsterdam about a month ago and have settled in very nicely... enjoying being 'empty nesters' I'd say.

Considering it was my birthday on Wednesday I decided to have a celebratory weekend so I brought along Dido and Nick. We had a fabulous time shopping at the flower markets across the canal and trying not to get whisked away by aggressive cyclists!

Friday night was an experience involving gay clubs, bars & a tad of drag; we obviously dressed up for Halloween as well:

Not the best costumes but at least we tried!!

We then spent a very hungover Saturday morning drinking fresh juice and coffee whilst munching on Dads perfect french toast, maple syrup and candy bacon. Delicious!!

After our breakfast we set off to the 'Museumplein'... a beautiful little square surrounded by the most famous museums and the Vondelpark just next to it. We sat at a cute cafe in the sunshine and had a few drinks:

Mum and Dad recently bought a cute little canal boat which we went on in the afternoon with lots of wine, cheese, and crackers, wooo!

For our last night in Amsterdam we went out for a meal near the Leidsestraat, where we had mojitos (possibly a few too many) and a yummy steak! After that we headed to a halloween party at the SugarFactory.

After a long beauty sleep we finally woke up to a beautiful brunch consisting of scrumptious coffee and eggs benedict!

We then strolled around some shops in the afternoon and then headed home to get packing and ready for my late night flight back to Leeds! It was hard leaving my home and parents again and makes me feel a little homesick, but I now have an excuse to go to Amsterdam when in need of a little family time: a.k.a a home cooked meal and a TV!
Home Time!
See you soon Munchkins!!

Me, Myself & I...

Hello :)
My name is Mackenzie, I recently turned 19 and decided to start my own blog!
Since moving away from home, it has come to my attention that I am now part of the 'big bad world'! I decided to create a blog about all the things I'm passionate about; Fashion, Food and Make-Up mostly. I'm a first year student studying communications and media at Leeds University, and struggling to budget my life, I thought blogging would help to keep my expensive taste at bay by writing about the things that I get inspiration from, what I do with my spare time and what I do when I should be reading or doing assignments!
Enjoy!
